On Lashay’s hair:
My daily routine consists of me sleeping with my hair in the pineapple method, so daily I fluff and go.
My last perm was in 2008, and from there I slowly cut out the perm over the years. I started wearing my hair in its natural state six years ago.
I wash it once per week using a co-wash, mud mask, or sometimes a handmade shampoo. I use a steamer while I deep condition.
I put four to five twists for 24 hours using ButterUp Soufflé and black Jamaican castor oil.
On Lashay’s skin:
I wash my face every night with honey then I use a witch hazel toner and argon oil to finish.
In the morning, I use a light oil.
On Dawn’s hair:
I wear my natural hair straight. I wash and condition every week. I apply coconut oil and Rain’s Pom as a prewash and then rinse with apple cider vinegar.
Because of a scalp condition (Seborrheic Dermatitis), I use a more astringent cleansing method of shampoo and condition. I section my hair and twist with a little soufflé and let air-dry.
I use low heat setting and flat iron then wrap my hair to maintain until the next washday.
On Dawn’s skin…
I was my face with honey as well, but for days that I get an occasional break out, I use a gel cleanser that is free of preservatives, artificial fragrances and colorants, gluten and ethanol alcohol.
I use a cucumber and witch hazel toner, and a light moisturizer.
